James Mchenry Elementary School Description

James McHenry Elementary School is a public school located in Lanham, Maryland. It serves students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1965 and named after James McHenry, one of the signers of the United States Constitution.

The mission of James McHenry Elementary School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The school offers a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of all its students including special education services, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, gifted and talented programs, art classes, music lessons, physical education activities, and more.
