Meade High School Description
Meade High School is a public high school located in Fort George G Meade, Maryland. Established in 1965, the school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of over 1,800 students. The school offers a wide variety of academic programs including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors classes, and career and technical education (CTE).
The mission of Meade High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages all students to reach their full potential as responsible citizens. The faculty works hard to ensure that each student receives individualized instruction tailored to his or her needs. In addition to academics, the school also provides extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs and organizations for its students.
Meade High School prides itself on providing quality education with an emphasis on college readiness. It has been recognized by U.S News & World Report as one of America’s Best High Schools for 2020 due to its strong performance on state assessments and graduation rate above 90%. Additionally, it was named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2018 for its overall excellence in teaching and learning.
