Braddock Middle School Description

Braddock Middle School is a public school located in Cumberland, Maryland. It serves students from grades 6-8 and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1965 and is part of the Allegany County Public Schools system.

The mission of Braddock Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The faculty strives to create an atmosphere where all students can reach their full potential through rigorous instruction and meaningful activities that promote critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, communication, problem solving abilities, and respect for diversity.

At Braddock Middle School there are many opportunities for student involvement including clubs such as Student Council, National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), Math Counts Team, Science Olympiad Team, Robotics Club and more! There are also several extracurricular sports teams available such as basketball, volleyball and track & field.

Braddock Middle School offers a variety of educational programs designed to meet the needs of each individual student including Advanced Placement courses in math and science; special education services; English language learner support; gifted/talented programming; career exploration classes; after-school tutoring sessions; summer enrichment camps; college preparation workshops; mentorship programs with local businesses/organizations; community service projects throughout the year; parent engagement activities like family nights at the school library or movie nights on campus.
