Phoenix Academy Public Charter High School Springfield is a public charter school located in the heart of Springfield, Massachusetts. Founded in 2020, Phoenix Academy provides an innovative and rigorous college preparatory education to its students. The school's mission is to empower all students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in college and beyond.
At Phoenix Academy, teachers strive to create a safe learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. Through small class sizes, individualized instruction, and project-based learning opportunities, students are able to develop critical thinking skills that will serve them well throughout their academic careers. In addition to core classes such as math, science, English language arts (ELA), social studies, physical education/health sciences (PE/HS), foreign languages (FL) and fine arts (FA), Phoenix Academy also offers electives such as robotics engineering and computer programming.
The faculty at Phoenix Academy consists of highly qualified educators who have been trained in best practices for teaching diverse learners. They work closely with parents and guardians to ensure that each student receives the support they need both inside and outside of the classroom. Additionally, there are many extracurricular activities available including sports teams like basketball or soccer; clubs like debate or chess; service projects; field trips; internships; leadership programs; career exploration courses; mentoring programs; afterschool tutoring sessions; summer camps; community events & more!
