Lowell High School Description
Lowell High School is a public school located in Lowell, Massachusetts. Founded in 1831, it is the oldest high school in the state and one of the oldest public schools in the United States. Located at 50 Father Morissette Boulevard, Lowell High School serves over 3,000 students from grades 9-12.
The school offers an array of academic programs including Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as honors classes for those who wish to challenge themselves academically. The curriculum also includes career and technical education courses such as automotive technology and culinary arts. In addition to academics, Lowell High School provides extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs and organizations that allow students to explore their interests outside of class time.
Lowell High School has been recognized by U.S News & World Report for its excellence in education with a silver medal ranking among other high schools nationwide. It was also named one of America’s Best Schools by Newsweek magazine due to its commitment to providing quality educational opportunities for all students regardless of background or ability level.
