Chicopee Comprehensive High School Description
Chicopee Comprehensive High School is a public high school located in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Founded in 1892, it is the oldest and largest of the four public high schools in the city. The school serves over 1,500 students from grades 9-12 and offers an array of academic programs including Advanced Placement courses, honors classes, career and technical education pathways, as well as special education services.
The school's mission statement emphasizes providing a safe learning environment that encourages student success through rigorous academics and extracurricular activities. Students have access to state-of-the-art technology such as interactive whiteboards and computers with internet access throughout the building. In addition to traditional classroom instruction, students can take advantage of online course offerings for credit recovery or enrichment opportunities.
Outside of the classroom, Chicopee Comprehensive High School has numerous clubs and organizations available for students to join such as National Honor Society (NHS), Student Council (STUCO), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and many more! There are also several sports teams offered at CCHS including football, basketball, baseball/softball, soccer, track & field and volleyball.
