I.a. Lewis School Description
I.A. Lewis School is a public elementary school located in Ruston, Louisiana. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1952 and is part of the Lincoln Parish School District.
The mission of I.A. Lewis School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship for all its students. The faculty at I.A. Lewis are dedicated to providing quality instruction that meets the needs of each individual student while fostering a love for learning and respect for others within the classroom setting.
I.A Lewis offers a variety of extracurricular activities such as art club, chess club, drama club, robotics team, choir, band program and more! In addition to these activities there are also several sports teams available including basketball, football, baseball/softball and track & field which compete against other schools in the district throughout the year .
At I A Lewis we strive to create an atmosphere where every child can reach their full potential academically as well as socially by providing them with resources they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom walls!
