Wossman High School is a public high school located in Monroe, Louisiana. Established in 1925, Wossman has been providing quality education to the students of Ouachita Parish for nearly 100 years. With an enrollment of over 1,000 students from grades 9-12, Wossman offers a wide variety of educational opportunities and extracurricular activities.
The academic program at Wossman includes core classes such as English, Math, Science and Social Studies as well as electives like Art, Music and Physical Education. The school also offers Advanced Placement courses which allow students to earn college credit while still in high school. In addition to academics, Wossman provides its students with numerous clubs and organizations including National Honor Society (NHS), Student Council (STUCO) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
Outside the classroom, Wossman’s athletic teams compete in District 2-4A of the LHSAA. The Wildcats have won multiple state championships across various sports including football, basketball and track & field. Additionally, there are several other extracurricular activities available such as band/orchestra/choir programs and theater productions that provide further enrichment opportunities for all students.
