Tom Benson School Description

Tom Benson School is a public elementary school located in Kenner, Louisiana. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1997 and named after Tom Benson, the former owner of the New Orleans Saints football team.

The mission of Tom Benson School is to provide a safe learning environment where all children can reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. The school offers a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of its diverse student population including special education services, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, gifted/talented programming, and after-school activities such as sports teams and clubs.

Tom Benson School prides itself on providing quality instruction that meets state standards while also fostering creativity and critical thinking skills among its students. Teachers use innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning to engage their students in meaningful ways. In addition to academics, the school emphasizes character development by encouraging respect for others and responsibility for one’s own actions.
