Duson Elementary School Description

Duson Elementary School is a public school located in the small town of Duson, Louisiana. Founded in 1892, it has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and employs more than 50 teachers and staff members.

The mission of Duson Elementary School is to provide an environment that encourages learning and growth while fostering respect for self and others. The curriculum focuses on developing strong academic skills as well as social emotional learning, physical fitness, character development, and creative expression. Students are encouraged to explore their interests through clubs such as robotics, art club, drama club, chess club, student council and many more!

At Duson Elementary School we believe that every child should have access to a safe learning environment where they can reach their full potential. We strive to create an atmosphere of collaboration between parents/guardians and educators so that all children can succeed academically and socially. Our dedicated faculty works hard each day to ensure our students receive the best possible education available in order to prepare them for success beyond elementary school.
