Melrose Elementary School Description

Melrose Elementary School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Established in 1965, Melrose has been providing quality education to students for over 50 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from Pre-K through 5th grade.

At Melrose, we strive to create an environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth. Our dedicated faculty works hard to ensure our students are receiving the best possible education by utilizing innovative teaching methods and engaging activities. We also offer a variety of extracurricular programs such as art, music, physical education, and after-school clubs that allow our students to explore their interests outside of the classroom.

We believe that every student should have access to a safe and supportive learning environment where they can reach their full potential. To this end, we provide comprehensive support services including counseling, tutoring, health screenings, nutrition assistance programs, and more. Additionally, we partner with local organizations to bring enrichment opportunities into the classroom such as field trips or guest speakers who share their knowledge with our students.
