Buchanan Elementary School Description

Buchanan Elementary School is a public school located in the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Founded in 1892, it has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an array of educational opportunities including music, art, physical education and technology classes.

The faculty at Buchanan Elementary consists of highly qualified teachers who are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential. They strive to create a safe learning environment where all children can thrive academically and socially. In addition to traditional classroom instruction, the school also provides after-school programs such as tutoring and enrichment activities that help foster creativity and critical thinking skills.

At Buchanan Elementary School, we believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality education regardless of background or financial status. We work hard to ensure our students have the resources they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom by offering free breakfast and lunch programs as well as other assistance services like counseling support for families facing economic hardship or special needs accommodations for those with disabilities.
