Fishers High School Description
Fishers High School is a public high school located in Fishers, Indiana. Founded in 1891, it is the oldest and largest high school in Hamilton County. The school serves over 2,000 students from grades 9-12 and offers an array of educational opportunities for its diverse student body.
The campus consists of two buildings: the main building which houses classrooms, offices, and other facilities; and the auxiliary building which includes a library/media center, cafeteria, gymnasiums, auditoriums, and more. In addition to traditional academic courses such as math, science, English language arts (ELA), social studies and foreign languages; Fishers High School also offers specialized programs including Advanced Placement (AP) classes for college credit; career technical education (CTE); fine arts; physical education; special education services; world languages; health sciences technology program (HSTP); robotics engineering program (REP); virtual learning academy (VLA); online course offerings through Edgenuity® Learning Management System™ ; dual enrollment with Ivy Tech Community College – Central Indiana Campus ;and much more!
At Fishers High School we strive to create an environment that encourages our students to reach their full potential while developing strong character traits such as respectfulness towards others and responsibility for their own actions. We are proud of our commitment to excellence in academics as well as extracurricular activities like athletics teams competing at state level championships or performing arts groups winning awards at regional competitions.
