Normal Community High School Description
Normal Community High School is a public high school located in Normal, Illinois. Established in 1876, it is the oldest high school in McLean County and one of the oldest schools in the state. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students.
The mission of Normal Community High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all students. The faculty strives to create an atmosphere where each student can reach their full potential through rigorous coursework, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.
At NCHS, there are numerous opportunities for students to get involved outside of the classroom including clubs such as National Honor Society (NHS), Student Council (STUCO), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Key Club International (KCI) and many more! Additionally, NCHS offers over 20 athletic teams ranging from football to golf which compete at both local and state levels.
Normal Community High School also provides its students with access to college preparatory courses such as Advanced Placement classes as well as career-oriented programs like Project Lead The Way engineering courses or Health Science Technology classes. With these resources available on campus, NCHS prepares its graduates for success beyond graduation day!
