Melzer School Description

Melzer School is a public elementary school located in Morton Grove, Illinois. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1971 and is part of the Niles Township High School District 219.

The mission of Melzer School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, social responsibility, and respect for diversity. The curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills as well as providing instruction in core subject areas such as math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education and art. In addition to these core subjects, the school also offers enrichment classes such as music and technology.

At Melzer School there are many opportunities for parents to get involved with their child’s education including parent-teacher conferences, volunteer programs and after-school activities like chess club or drama club. The staff at Melzer School strive to create a positive learning environment where all children can reach their full potential academically while having fun along the way!
