Evanston Twp High School Description

Evanston Township High School is a public four-year high school located in Evanston, Illinois. Established in 1883, it is the oldest high school in the city and one of the oldest secondary schools in the state. The school serves students from grades 9 through 12 and has an enrollment of over 3,000 students.

The mission of Evanston Township High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all its students. It offers a comprehensive curriculum with courses ranging from core subjects such as English, math, science and social studies to electives like art, music and physical education. In addition to traditional classes, ETHS also provides Advanced Placement (AP) courses which allow students to earn college credit while still attending high school.

ETHs extracurricular activities are just as impressive as its academics; there are more than 60 clubs available for student involvement including robotics teams, debate teams and various performing arts groups. Additionally, ETHS boasts numerous athletic programs including football, basketball and soccer among others.

Evanston Township High School strives to create an atmosphere where every student can reach their full potential both academically and socially by providing them with quality instruction along with ample opportunities for exploration outside of the classroom setting.
