Larkin High School Description

Larkin High School is a public four-year high school located in Elgin, Illinois. Established in 1892, Larkin has been providing quality education to the students of Elgin and its surrounding communities for over 125 years. With an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students from grades 9 through 12, Larkin offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes core academic courses as well as electives such as art, music, physical education and technology.

The faculty at Larkin are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by offering personalized instruction and support services. The school also provides numerous extracurricular activities including sports teams (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society) and other organizations (Student Council). In addition to these offerings, the school also hosts several special events throughout the year such as homecoming dances and proms.

At Larkin High School we strive to create an environment where all students can learn and grow academically while developing strong social skills that will help them succeed in college or career paths after graduation. We believe that every student should have access to a quality education regardless of background or financial status; therefore we offer free breakfast programs for those who qualify along with scholarships for eligible seniors graduating from our institution.
