North River Elementary School Description

North River Elementary School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in the heart of Chicago, IL. Founded in 1887, North River has been providing quality education to students for over 130 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

At North River, we strive to create an environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth. Our teachers are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by providing individualized instruction and support. We also offer a variety of extracurricular activities such as art classes, sports teams, music lessons, and more!

We believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality education regardless of background or ability level. To this end, we provide numerous resources including free breakfast and lunch programs; afterschool tutoring; special education services; English language learner (ELL) classes; counseling services; parent involvement opportunities; and much more!

At North River Elementary School, our goal is to ensure that all children have the opportunity to succeed academically while developing into well-rounded individuals who are prepared for success in college and beyond.
