Central High School Description
Central High School is a public high school located in Champaign, Illinois. Founded in 1867, Central High School has been providing quality education to the students of Champaign for over 150 years. The school offers an array of academic and extracurricular activities that help prepare its students for college and beyond.
At Central High School, there are numerous opportunities available to students including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, dual credit classes through Parkland College, career-focused programs such as Project Lead the Way (PLTW), and a variety of clubs and organizations. In addition to these offerings, Central also provides a wide range of athletic teams which compete at both the varsity and junior varsity levels.
The faculty at Central High School is dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by providing individualized instruction tailored to meet their needs. With small class sizes and experienced teachers who are passionate about teaching, Central strives to create an environment where learning can thrive.
