Winterset Elementary School Description

Winterset Elementary School is a public school located in the heart of Winterset, Iowa. Established in 1875, it has been providing quality education to students for over 140 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an array of educational programs including special education services, gifted and talented programming, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and after-school activities.

The faculty at Winterset Elementary School are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by creating a safe learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Teachers use innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning and hands-on activities to engage students in meaningful ways. In addition to academics, the school also provides extracurricular opportunities such as sports teams, clubs, music lessons, art classes, field trips and more.

At Winterset Elementary School we strive to create an atmosphere where all children can learn with confidence while having fun! We believe that every child should have access to high quality education regardless of background or ability level so that they can become successful members of our community.
