Tipton Elementary School Description
Tipton Elementary School is a public school located in the small town of Tipton, Iowa. Established in 1875, it has been providing quality education to students for over 140 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and employs more than 50 teachers and staff members.
The mission of Tipton Elementary School is to provide an environment that encourages learning and growth while fostering respect for self and others. The curriculum focuses on developing strong academic skills as well as social-emotional learning, physical fitness, creativity, problem solving, collaboration, communication and critical thinking. Students are also encouraged to explore their interests through extracurricular activities such as art club, student council and robotics team.
In addition to its rigorous academics program, Tipton Elementary School offers a variety of enrichment programs including music classes with instruments provided by the school district; Spanish language instruction; technology courses; library services; field trips; after-school clubs; sports teams; special events like family nights or movie nights at the local theater; community service projects throughout the year; and much more!
At Tipton Elementary School we strive to create an atmosphere where all children can reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. We believe that every child deserves access to high quality education regardless of background or ability level so that they may become successful citizens who contribute positively to our society.
