Central Academy Description

Central Academy Ib School is a private, independent school located in the heart of Des Moines, Iowa. Founded in 1912, Central Academy has been providing quality education to students from preschool through 12th grade for over 100 years. The school offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) program that provides rigorous academic instruction and encourages critical thinking skills.

The curriculum at Central Academy focuses on developing global citizens who are prepared to succeed in college and beyond. Students have access to a wide range of courses including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, world languages and physical education. In addition to traditional classroom learning experiences, students can participate in extracurricular activities such as sports teams and clubs like robotics or debate team.
