Decorah High School Description
Decorah High School is a public school located in Decorah, Iowa. Founded in 1871, it is the oldest high school in Winneshiek County and serves students from grades 9-12. The school has an enrollment of approximately 600 students and offers a wide range of educational opportunities including Advanced Placement courses, college credit classes, career and technical education programs, fine arts offerings, and extracurricular activities.
The mission of Decorah High School is to provide each student with the opportunity to reach their highest potential through rigorous academic instruction that prepares them for success beyond graduation. The faculty at Decorah High School are dedicated to providing quality instruction while also fostering a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.
In addition to its strong academic program, Decorah High School also provides numerous extracurricular activities such as athletics (including football, basketball, baseball/softball), music (band & choir), theater productions, clubs & organizations (such as National Honor Society & Student Council) and more! There are also many service projects available for students who wish to give back to their community or explore new interests outside of the classroom.
