Roundy Elementary School is a public school located in Columbus Junction, Iowa. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 300 students. The school was founded in 1891 and is part of the Columbus Community School District.
Roundy Elementary offers a variety of educational programs to meet the needs of its diverse student population. These include core academic classes such as math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education and health; special education services; music and art classes; technology instruction; library resources; after-school activities; and more.
The faculty at Roundy Elementary are dedicated to providing quality instruction that meets each student's individual learning needs. They strive to create a safe environment where all students can learn and grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically and creatively. The staff also works hard to foster positive relationships between teachers, parents/guardians and community members so that everyone can work together for the benefit of their children’s success.
In addition to academics, Roundy Elementary provides many extracurricular activities for its students including sports teams (soccer & basketball), clubs (chess club & robotics club) as well as field trips throughout the year which allow students to explore new places while learning about different cultures or topics related to their curriculum.
