Ankeny High School Description
Ankeny High School is a public high school located in Ankeny, Iowa. Established in 1891, it is the oldest and largest high school in the Ankeny Community School District. With an enrollment of over 2,000 students from grades 9-12, Ankeny High School offers a comprehensive education that includes core academic courses as well as electives such as art, music, business and technology. The school also provides numerous extracurricular activities including athletics, clubs and organizations.
The mission of Ankeny High School is to provide each student with an excellent educational experience that will prepare them for college or career success. To achieve this goal, the faculty and staff strive to create a safe learning environment where all students can reach their full potential through rigorous academics and meaningful experiences outside of the classroom.
At Ankeny High School we believe that every student should have access to quality instruction regardless of background or ability level. We are committed to providing our students with personalized learning opportunities so they can develop into responsible citizens who are prepared for life after graduation.
