Atkinson Elementary School Description

Atkinson Elementary School is a public school located in the heart of Newnan, Georgia. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has been part of the Coweta County School System since its founding in 1891. The school's mission is to provide an excellent education that prepares all students for success in college and career.

Atkinson Elementary offers a variety of educational programs designed to meet the needs of each student. These include core academic classes such as math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education, music and art. In addition to these courses, Atkinson also provides enrichment activities like robotics clubs and after-school tutoring sessions.

The faculty at Atkinson are dedicated professionals who strive to create a safe learning environment where every child can reach their full potential. They work hard to ensure that all students have access to quality instruction and resources so they can succeed academically and socially.

Atkinson Elementary is committed to providing parents with opportunities for involvement in their children’s education by hosting parent-teacher conferences throughout the year as well as offering volunteer opportunities within the school community. Parents are encouraged to become active participants in their children’s learning process by attending events such as open houses or participating in PTA meetings or other special events held at the school throughout the year.

Atkinson Elementary strives to be an integral part of its local community by engaging with families through various outreach initiatives including family nights out at local restaurants or movie theaters; field trips; holiday celebrations; fundraisers; book fairs; assemblies featuring guest speakers; and more!
