Mary Persons High School Description
Mary Persons High School is a public high school located in Forsyth, Georgia. Established in 1891, it is the oldest high school in Monroe County and one of the oldest schools in the state. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students.
The mission of Mary Persons High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all students. The faculty strives to create an atmosphere where each student can reach their full potential through rigorous instruction, meaningful activities, and positive relationships with peers and staff members.
At Mary Persons High School, there are numerous opportunities for students to get involved both inside and outside of the classroom. There are over 30 clubs available including National Honor Society, Student Council, Drama Club, Robotics Team, Art Club and more! Additionally, there are many sports teams such as football, basketball, baseball/softball track & field etc., which offer great ways for students to stay active while having fun at the same time!
Overall Mary Persons High School provides its students with a quality education along with plenty of extracurricular activities so they can develop into well-rounded individuals who will be successful after graduation!
