Cornelia Elementary School is a public school located in Cornelia, Georgia. It serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was established in 1887 and is part of the Habersham County Schools system.

The mission of Cornelia Elementary School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The faculty and staff strive to create an atmosphere where all children can reach their full potential as learners by providing quality instruction with high expectations for success.

At Cornelia Elementary School, teachers use innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning, technology integration, and differentiated instruction to engage students in meaningful activities that promote critical thinking skills. In addition to core subjects like math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education/health classes are also offered at the school along with art and music programs which allow students to explore their creative side while developing important life skills such as collaboration and problem solving.

In order to ensure student safety on campus there are several security measures in place including video surveillance cameras throughout the building as well as secure entry points for visitors entering the building during school hours. Additionally, each classroom has been equipped with emergency response kits containing first aid supplies should any medical emergencies arise during class time or other events held at the school grounds.
