Commerce High School Description

Commerce High School is a public high school located in Commerce, Georgia. Established in 1892, it is the oldest high school in Jackson County and one of the oldest schools in the state. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students.

Commerce High School offers a wide range of academic programs including Advanced Placement courses as well as career and technical education classes such as automotive technology, business management, culinary arts, health science technology, marketing/entrepreneurship and welding. In addition to academics, there are numerous extracurricular activities available for students to participate in such as athletics (football, basketball, baseball/softball), band & chorus performances and clubs like National Honor Society or Future Business Leaders of America.

The faculty at Commerce High School consists of highly qualified teachers who strive to provide their students with a quality education that will prepare them for college or future careers. They also work hard to create a safe learning environment where all students can feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgement or ridicule.

At Commerce High School we believe that every student should have access to an excellent educational experience regardless of race or socio-economic status; therefore we offer several scholarship opportunities for those who qualify so they may pursue their dreams without financial burden standing in their way.
