Shaw High School Description
Shaw High School is a public high school located in Columbus, Georgia. Established in 1965, Shaw High School has been providing quality education to the students of Muscogee County for over 50 years. With an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students and a faculty of more than 100 teachers and staff members, Shaw High School offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes core academic courses as well as electives such as art, music, physical education and foreign language classes.
The school also provides extracurricular activities including sports teams (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society) and other organizations (Student Council). The school's mission is to provide each student with the opportunity to reach their highest potential through rigorous academics while developing strong character traits necessary for success in college or career paths after graduation.
