Rusk Middle School Description
Rusk Middle School is a public school located in Canton, Georgia. It serves students from grades 6-8 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. The school was founded in 1965 and is part of the Cherokee County School District.
The mission of Rusk Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all students. The faculty strives to create an atmosphere where every student can reach their full potential through rigorous instruction, meaningful activities, and positive relationships with peers and staff members.
Rusk Middle School offers a variety of extracurricular activities including sports teams such as basketball, football, volleyball, track & field, cheerleading, softball/baseball; clubs like art club or robotics; afterschool programs such as homework help or tutoring; and special events throughout the year like dances or movie nights.
In addition to its commitment to academics and extracurriculars, Rusk Middle School also places great emphasis on character development by teaching important values such as respect for self and others, responsibility for one’s actions, integrity in decision making processes ,and good citizenship within the community at large.
