Bielefield School is a private, co-educational school located in the heart of Middletown, Connecticut. Founded in 1887, Bielefield has been providing quality education to students from kindergarten through eighth grade for over 130 years. The school's mission is to provide an environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth while fostering respect for diversity and individual differences.

At Bielefield School, students are encouraged to explore their interests and develop their talents through a variety of activities such as music, art, drama, physical education and technology classes. In addition to core subjects like math, science and language arts, the curriculum also includes Spanish instruction beginning in third grade. Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities including a library with more than 10 thousand volumes; two computer labs; three gymnasiums; two playgrounds; an outdoor amphitheater; and a cafeteria serving healthy meals prepared by professional chefs.

The faculty at Bielefield School consists of highly qualified teachers who strive to create an atmosphere where learning can take place naturally without pressure or stress. They use innovative teaching methods that focus on developing critical thinking skills rather than memorization techniques. Through small class sizes they are able to give each student personalized attention which helps them reach their full potential academically as well as socially.

In addition to its rigorous academic program, Bielefield offers extracurricular activities such as sports teams (soccer, basketball), clubs (chess club) and afterschool programs (homework help).
