Benjamin Franklin School Description

Benjamin Franklin School is a public elementary school located in Meriden, Connecticut. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1876 and named after the famous American statesman Benjamin Franklin.

The mission of Benjamin Franklin School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills as well as fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities. Students are encouraged to explore their interests while also mastering core subjects such as math, science, language arts, social studies, art, music, physical education and technology.

In addition to its rigorous academic program, the school offers extracurricular activities including sports teams for basketball and soccer; clubs such as chess club or student council; field trips; special events like family nights or movie days; community service projects; and more!
