Read School Description
Read School is a public elementary school located in the heart of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Founded in 1885, Read School has been providing quality education to its students for over 130 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an array of educational opportunities including music, art, physical education and technology classes.
The faculty at Read School are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Teachers use innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning and hands-on activities to engage students in meaningful ways. In addition, the school provides afterschool programs such as chess club, robotics team and drama club which allow children to explore their interests outside of the classroom setting.
