Ben Franklin Academy Description

Ben Franklin Academy is a K-8 public charter school located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Founded in 1998, the school has grown to serve over 500 students from across Douglas County and beyond. The mission of Ben Franklin Academy is to provide an academically rigorous education that emphasizes critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, creativity and communication skills.

At Ben Franklin Academy, teachers strive to create a learning environment where all students can reach their full potential. Through small class sizes and individualized instruction plans tailored for each student’s needs, teachers are able to ensure that every child receives the attention they need to succeed. In addition to core academic subjects such as math, science and language arts, Ben Franklin also offers enrichment classes like art history and music appreciation which help foster creative expression among its students.

The school also places great emphasis on character development through its Character Education Program which focuses on teaching respect for self and others as well as responsibility for one's actions. This program helps instill values such as honesty, integrity and kindness in all members of the Ben Franklin community.

Outside of the classroom, there are plenty of opportunities for students at Ben Franklin Academy to get involved with extracurricular activities including sports teams (soccer & basketball), robotics clubs and theater productions just to name a few!
