Excel Academy Description

Excel Academy School is a public charter school located in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2006, Excel Academy provides an innovative and rigorous academic program for students in grades K-8. The school's mission is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration while preparing students for success in college and beyond.

At Excel Academy, teachers use project-based learning to engage their students with real-world problems and solutions. Students are encouraged to think critically about the world around them as they explore topics such as science, technology, engineering, art & design (STEAM), global studies, language arts/literacy skills development and more. In addition to core academics courses like math and reading/writing instruction, Excel Academy also offers enrichment classes such as music appreciation or physical education.

The school has a strong commitment to community involvement; parents are actively involved through volunteer opportunities at the school or by attending parent meetings throughout the year. Additionally, Excel Academy partners with local organizations such as museums or libraries to bring educational experiences into the classroom setting.

Excel Academy strives to create an inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically regardless of background or ability level; this includes providing special education services for those who need it most.
