Design Tech High Description
Design Tech High School is a public charter school located in Millbrae, California. Founded in 2014, Design Tech (or "d.tech") has quickly become one of the most innovative and forward-thinking high schools in the Bay Area. With an emphasis on project-based learning and design thinking, d.tech provides students with an opportunity to explore their passions while developing skills that will help them succeed in college and beyond.
At d.tech, students are encouraged to think critically about real-world problems and develop creative solutions through hands-on projects and collaboration with peers from diverse backgrounds. The curriculum focuses on technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, art & design, as well as social justice issues such as environmental sustainability and global citizenship. In addition to traditional classes like math and science, d.tech offers unique courses such as robotics programming or 3D printing for product development.
Outside of the classroom, there are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved at d.tech including clubs focused on coding or game design; student government; sports teams; theater productions; hackathons; field trips around Silicon Valley; internships with local tech companies; volunteer work within the community; and more!
Overall, Design Tech High School is a vibrant learning environment where students can gain valuable knowledge while exploring their interests - all within a supportive community dedicated to helping each individual reach their full potential!
