Merced High School Description
Merced High School is a public high school located in Merced, California. Founded in 1891, it is the oldest high school in Merced County and one of the oldest schools in the state. The campus sits on over 20 acres of land at 205 W Olive Ave and serves students from grades 9-12.
The school offers a wide range of academic programs including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, college preparatory classes, career technical education (CTE), special education services, and more. It also has an extensive extracurricular program with clubs such as robotics, drama club, student government association (SGA), National Honor Society (NHS), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and many others.
In addition to academics and extracurricular activities, Merced High School provides its students with access to various resources such as counseling services for mental health support; tutoring centers; library facilities; computer labs; sports teams like football, basketball, baseball/softball; music ensembles like marching band and choir; art classes; culinary arts classes; foreign language instruction in Spanish or French; physical education classes that include yoga and weightlifting options.
At Merced High School we strive to create an environment where all students can reach their full potential academically while developing into well-rounded individuals who are prepared for success beyond graduation day!
