Chavez Elementary School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in the heart of Long Beach, California. Established in 1962, Chavez Elementary has been providing quality education to students for over 50 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

At Chavez Elementary, we strive to create an environment where all children can reach their full potential. Our dedicated staff works hard to ensure that each student receives individualized attention and instruction tailored to meet their unique needs. We offer a variety of programs designed to engage our students academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. These include after-school clubs such as robotics and chess; physical education classes; music lessons; art classes; field trips; and more!

Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom walls with numerous parent involvement opportunities throughout the year including family nights, volunteer activities, fundraisers, and other special events. We also have strong partnerships with local businesses who provide resources for our students’ success both inside and outside of school.
