Fulton & Alsbury Academy of Arts and Engineering School is a public charter school located in Lancaster, California. Founded in 2008, the school serves students from grades 6-12 with an emphasis on providing a rigorous academic program that emphasizes both arts and engineering. The school's mission is to provide students with the skills necessary for success in college and career readiness through innovative teaching methods and creative problem solving.
The curriculum at Fulton & Alsbury Academy focuses on developing critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, communication, technology literacy, and global awareness. Students are encouraged to explore their interests through project-based learning experiences that integrate core subjects such as math, science, language arts/literacy, social studies/history/geography into real world applications. In addition to traditional classes like English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics (Math), Science (Sci) and Social Studies (SS), the school also offers courses in Computer Science (CS), Robotics & Automation Technology (RAT) , Visual Arts (VA) , Music Theory & Performance(MTP).
In order to ensure student success after graduation from Fulton & Alsbury Academy of Arts and Engineering School all students must complete a Senior Project which includes research paper writing or creating an original work of art or engineering design project. Additionally there are many extracurricular activities available including robotics clubs; sports teams; music ensembles; theater productions; visual arts programs; debate team competitions; field trips; community service projects; internships opportunities etc., allowing students to further develop their talents outside of the classroom setting.
