Davis Senior High School Description
Davis Senior High School is a public high school located in Davis, California. Founded in 1892, it is the oldest and largest high school in Yolo County. The school serves over 2,000 students from grades 9-12 and offers an array of academic programs including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, college preparatory classes, career technical education (CTE), special education services, and more.
The campus features modern facilities such as a library media center with access to online resources; two gymnasiums; multiple athletic fields; tennis courts; a swimming pool; science labs for biology, chemistry and physics; computer labs with internet access; art studios for ceramics and painting/drawing classes; music rooms for band practice or choir rehearsals; theater spaces for drama performances or musicals.
At Davis Senior High School there are numerous extracurricular activities available to students including sports teams like football, basketball, soccer and volleyball as well as clubs such as student government association (SGA), National Honor Society (NHS), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Key Club International (KCI) and many others. Additionally the school has several performing arts groups such as marching band, jazz ensemble and orchestra that compete at local competitions throughout the year.
Overall Davis Senior High School provides its students with an excellent educational experience both inside the classroom and out through its wide range of academic offerings along with various extracurricular activities that allow them to explore their interests further while developing important skills needed for success after graduation.
