Compton High School Description
Compton High School is a public high school located in Compton, California. Established in 1924, it is the oldest and largest comprehensive secondary school in the city of Compton. The school serves over 3,000 students from grades 9-12 and offers an array of academic programs to meet their diverse needs.
The campus features state-of-the-art facilities including a library media center, computer labs, science laboratories, art studios, music rooms and athletic fields. In addition to its rigorous college preparatory curriculum that includes Advanced Placement courses and honors classes for motivated students, Compton High School also provides career technical education pathways such as automotive technology and health sciences.
At Compton High School we strive to create an environment where all students can reach their full potential through challenging academics combined with extracurricular activities like sports teams (football, basketball), clubs (drama club) or student government organizations (ASB). We are committed to providing our students with the tools they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
