Snowflake High School Description
Snowflake High School is a public high school located in Snowflake, Arizona. Established in 1882, it is the oldest and largest high school in Navajo County. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students.
The campus consists of two main buildings: the original building built in 1882 and a newer addition constructed in 2000. Both buildings are equipped with modern technology such as computers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards to ensure that all students have access to the latest educational tools.
At Snowflake High School, we strive to provide our students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for college or career success after graduation. We offer a variety of courses including core subjects like math, science, English language arts (ELA), social studies, foreign languages (Spanish & French), physical education/health classes as well as electives such as art and music appreciation. Additionally, we offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses which allow our students to earn college credit while still attending high school.
Our faculty members are highly qualified professionals who work hard to create an engaging learning environment where every student can reach their full potential academically and socially. Our teachers use innovative teaching methods such as flipped classrooms and blended learning models so that each student can learn at their own pace while receiving individualized instruction when needed.
We also believe strongly in extracurricular activities here at Snowflake High School; we offer numerous clubs ranging from academic honor societies to sports teams so that all students can find something they enjoy doing outside of class time! In addition to these activities we also host several events throughout the year such as dances, plays/musicals performances by our drama club members etc., giving our community plenty of opportunities for entertainment!
