Kaizen - Summit High School Description
Kaizen - Summit High School is a public charter school located in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 2014, Kaizen provides an innovative and rigorous college preparatory education to students from grades 6-12. The school's mission is to empower each student with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for success in college and beyond.
At Kaizen, teachers use project-based learning to engage students in their studies while also encouraging them to think critically about the world around them. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their own learning by participating actively in class discussions and activities. In addition to traditional academic courses such as math, science, English language arts, social studies, foreign languages and physical education; Kaizen offers electives such as robotics engineering and computer programming that help prepare students for 21st century careers.
The faculty at Kaizen are highly qualified professionals who strive to create a safe environment where all students can learn without fear or intimidation. They provide individualized instruction tailored specifically for each student’s needs so they can reach their full potential both academically and socially.
Kaizen has been recognized nationally for its commitment to excellence through awards such as the U.S News & World Report Best High Schools Award (2020) and the College Board AP Honor Roll (2019). It is also accredited by AdvancED/North Central Association Commission on Accreditation & School Improvement (NCA CASI).
