Benchmark School Description
Benchmark School is a private, non-profit school located in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 1985, Benchmark has been providing quality education to students from preschool through 8th grade for over 30 years. The school's mission is to provide an individualized learning experience that encourages each student to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners.
At Benchmark, the curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities while also emphasizing creativity and collaboration. Students are encouraged to explore their interests through hands-on activities such as robotics, coding, engineering projects, art classes and more. In addition to core academic subjects like math, science and language arts, students can choose from a variety of electives including music theory & composition; Spanish; physical education; drama; computer programming; photography; chess club; debate team and much more!
The faculty at Benchmark consists of highly qualified teachers who strive to create a positive learning environment where every student feels supported and respected. They use innovative teaching methods such as project based learning (PBL) which allows students to work together on real world problems while gaining valuable knowledge about the subject matter.
In addition to its rigorous academics program, Benchmark offers extracurricular activities such as sports teams (soccer & basketball), clubs (chess club & robotics club), field trips throughout the year and community service opportunities for all ages.
