Desert Thunder Description

Desert Thunder School is a K-8 public school located in Goodyear, Arizona. Founded in 2004, the school has grown to serve over 500 students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. The mission of Desert Thunder School is to provide an excellent education that prepares all students for success in college and career.

At Desert Thunder School, teachers strive to create a safe learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. The curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills through hands-on activities and real world experiences. Students are encouraged to explore their interests through elective courses such as art, music, physical education, technology and foreign language classes.

The faculty at Desert Thunder School works hard to ensure that each student receives individualized attention and support throughout their educational journey. In addition to providing academic instruction, the staff also offers social emotional learning programs designed to help children develop self-awareness and positive relationships with peers and adults alike.

Desert Thunder School values community involvement by hosting events such as family nights, open houses and field trips throughout the year. Parents are always welcome at the school’s monthly PTO meetings which offer opportunities for parents to get involved in their child’s education while connecting with other families within the community.
