George W Long High School is a public school located in Skipperville, Alabama. Founded in 1965, the school has been providing quality education to students for over 50 years. The school offers a variety of academic programs and extracurricular activities that help prepare its students for college and beyond.
The student body at George W Long High School consists of approximately 500 students from grades 9-12. The faculty is comprised of highly qualified teachers who are dedicated to helping their students succeed academically and socially. In addition to traditional classes such as math, science, English, history, and foreign language courses, the school also provides specialized classes like art and music appreciation as well as career exploration courses.
Outside of the classroom, George W Long High School offers an array of extracurricular activities including sports teams (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society & Student Council), band/orchestra performances throughout the year and various other special events such as dances or field trips.
