Hutchens Elementary School is a public school located in Mobile, Alabama. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1965 and is part of the Mobile County Public Schools system.
The mission of Hutchens Elementary School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The faculty at Hutchens are dedicated to providing quality instruction for all students while fostering respect for diversity and individual differences.
Hutchens offers a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of its diverse student population including special education services, gifted/talented classes, English language learners (ELL) program, after-school activities such as sports teams and clubs, as well as music and art classes. In addition to these offerings, the school also provides counseling services for both students and parents alike.
At Hutchens Elementary School we strive to create an atmosphere where every child can reach their full potential academically while developing into responsible citizens who will make positive contributions to our community.
