Central High School Description
Central High School is a public school located in Florence, Alabama. It serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students. The school was founded in 1885 and is part of the Lauderdale County Schools system. Central High School offers a wide variety of academic programs including Advanced Placement courses, honors classes, career technical education (CTE) courses, and dual enrollment opportunities with local colleges.
The school also provides extracurricular activities such as athletics, clubs and organizations for its student body to participate in. These include football, basketball, baseball/softball teams; cheerleading squad; band program; National Honor Society; Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA); Student Council; Key Club International; Science Olympiad Team; Robotics Team; Drama Club and more.
