Austin High School Description
Austin High School is a public high school located in Decatur, Alabama. Founded in 1891, Austin High School has been providing quality education to the students of Decatur and surrounding areas for over 125 years. The school offers a wide variety of academic programs including Advanced Placement courses, dual enrollment classes with local colleges, and career-technical education pathways.
The student body at Austin High School is diverse and vibrant; it consists of approximately 1,000 students from all walks of life. Students have access to numerous extracurricular activities such as sports teams (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society, Key Club), performing arts groups (band/orchestra/choir) and more.
At Austin High School we strive to provide our students with an excellent educational experience that will prepare them for success after graduation. We are committed to creating an environment where every student can reach their full potential academically while also developing important social skills needed for college or the workforce.
